Happy New Year! I hope your New Year is off to a wonderful start. I wanted to share some of the many highlights MyTealTicket experienced in 2018. Additionally, I need your help, but let’s start by looking back at 2018.

Raise Awareness

One of MyTealTicket’s goals is to raise awareness about food allergies. MyTealTicket had a number of press appearances, including an appearance on Chicago’s WGN Morning News, and online articles for Parents Magazine and the Chicago Tribune. Please click here to see a summary of the media coverage.

MyTealTicket 2.0

In 2018, an updated version of MyTealTicket was released. Based on customer feedback, we replaced “gluten” with “wheat.” Additionally, given the growing number of people who are allergic to sesame, we also added it to the list of available, pre-recorded items.

Eat With Ease

MyTealTicket has been purchased in nearly every state, showing that Eating With Ease is possible. I was also fortunate enough to receive feedback from restaurants across the United States, including Arizona, Indiana, Michigan, New York, Washington, DC, Wisconsin, and my home state of Illinois.

  The FARE Heroes Walk

Team MyTealTicket attended Chicago’s FARE Heroes Walk this October in celebration of raising awareness and promoting FARE’s life saving research.  We raised money, and enjoyed a meaningful day in the city.  We are looking forward to participating in the 2019 FARE Heroes Walk.

Restaurant Recognition

Calling all restaurants! The allergy-friendly chain restaurants The Salad House and Playa Bowls purchased MyTealTickets!  It is truly wonderful to see how The Salad House and Playa Bowls are committed to making it easier for people with food allergies to have a safe and enjoyable dining experience.

MyTealTicket Featured at FARECon

In November, FARE’s two yearly conventions merged into one, glorious celebration in Washington D.C.. Upon arriving at FARECon Featuring Teen Summit, attendees were given a complementary MyTealTicket to use at their next meal!
